Come to My World Cover

The NEW ALBUM

Come to My World” (2020)

An introspective voyage throughout various musical environments and different feelings. Composed and recorded in Virginia, during the Covid-19 lockdown in the Spring 2020, almost entirely self-performed and mastered by Kim Person, the album contains 12 new original songs. Acoustic guitars and traditional country blues instruments (like mandolin, banjo, dobro, lap steel guitar, harmonica) create the backbone of the record: from the opening acoustic blues ‘My Loving Babe”, to the ballad “Your Lullaby”, the title track “Come to My World”, the country blues “The Real Me”, the instrumental track for piano and strings “Notte”. The album features local Virginia musicians in the song “Tidewater Attitude”, dedicated to the Tidewater musical scene.

Luca Burgalassi: guitarist, composer, singer-songwriter, begins studying music at the age of 6, writing and performing his songs live by the age of 12.

He graduated summa cum laude in acoustic guitar at the Lizard Academy of Fiesole (Florence) under the guidance of Giovanni Unterberger. He undertook advanced studies with Franco D’Andrea, Franco Morone, Armando Corsi, Steve Trovato, Mike Sterne and Franco Mussida. He studied folk and country blues techniques, experimenting with open tunings and learning how to play traditional folk instruments, such as: Lap Steel guitar, Banjo, Dobro, Mandolin and harmonica.

He released four albums exploring the great American songwriters and West Coast music.

He has taken part in many different projects and productions, performing live at festivals and theaters throughout Italy and abroad, (Pistoia Blues, Youth Music Festival Budapest, International Guitar Festival Salou (Spain), Veneto Jazz Festival, Fiuggi Guitar Festival, Mottola Guitar Festival, Acoustic Guitar Sarzana).

“Luca’s songs are very well textured.. There is a newness to the blues songs. Some Pop worked in there with some Jazz.. Very nice… great job… nice voice” Johnny Max – Radio Blues Canada
